Presentation book "Mi Comuna 13"

Dear friends, supporters, and interested guests,

At last, the moment has arrived: after months of dedicated translation work by two Intercambio members, Arne and Alexander, the Dutch version of the book “Mi Comuna 13” (written by Simone Piccini) will be launched.

This powerful story takes you into the life of Yenni, who grows up in Comuna 13 (Medellín, Colombia) during the 1980s and 1990s, a time when violence was part of everyday reality. Through her eyes, and those of committed volunteers, you will discover a neighborhood that is much more than its past: a place that today thrives with creativity and connection.

We are proud to invite you to the official book launch, organized @ Hostel De Draecke (Sint-Widostraat 11) in the heart of Ghent.
