Alexander meets José from the Wiwa indigenous community

Some news hot off the press!

Alexander, member of our board is currently in Colombia to work @ our project in Medellín and seeing our volunteers doing such a great job makes him very proud!

Last week he traveled to the Sierra Nevada, a mountain range in northern Colombia to meet José and his family, from the Wiwa community, one of the many indigenous groups that live in Colombia!

Up in the mountains he got to know more about their beliefs, their way of life, their habits, traditions, and of course he got the privilege to enjoy the beauty of the savage and untouched, rainforest in the sierra nevada!

A spiritual place for many Colombians!

José hasn't had many chances to meet a foreigner so you can imagine Alex got to answer lots of questions about his culture as well.

Well it turns out that just as Alex is in their story, Jose and the Wiwa community are really interested in the projects and activities of Intercambio, so the very good news is that you can all expect collaborations in the future!
