Heey everyone,

How have you been? ¿Cómo han estado?

A small recap about my first weeks on the project: the good and the bad :)

First of all: I was amazed to see how many children are still coming to the classes, how much they have improved and how of course when you arrive everyone here is receiving you with open arms. This is a privilege and is typical for the barrios populares!

2. So I've been to a couple of classes, helped out as a teacher, checked in with our current team of volunteers if they needed something specific for the apartment, met Amelia and Noah: who were volunteering before the new team arrived, everything went well, went to clásico football game ; all very excited stuff, and yeah beautiful souls, people who want to do good, again a privilege to be around them!

3. I would say most foreigners, well especially the ones that earn in dollars/euros are quite privileged here, just on one aspect they are less privileged and it's their European stomach and bowels. Yes you guessed it, I got food poisoning and it hit me hard, I spent last week mainly in my bed,

Maybe it's just my stomach that got destroyed after all my travels?

Who knows?

In any case it was a tough week and I'll take precautions for the future, try to limit the chances it from happening again.

Because there is so much work to be done, so many beautiful moments to share and you don't wanna be left out right (with the festivities coming up)!

But overall a good first four weeks and we are making progress in the project!

Nos vemos!

Alexander
